The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave was an intense read. If you like a thriller with twists and a mystery you can solve as you read, this is a good book for you. It was my BOTM last year, and I didn't really know anything about it before I read it. just the synopsis from BOTM website.

When Michael Owens disappears, his wife Hannah finds a note, telling her to take care of his daughter Bailey. Bailey is a teenager, so Hannah doesn't think she will be able to handle raising her on her own. Throughout the book and trying to figure out what happened to Owen, they become closer and surprise themselves in the end. FBI raids, his boss being taken to jail, all things that happen when Hannah is trying to figure out how to live their new life.

I read this book in about 2 days, it's a fast paced read and a page turner. The characters are easy to like, but it sometimes felt drawn out and nothing really happened at moments in the book. I wonder what it would have been like from Owen's point of view, where was he this whole time? Maybe she should write another book from his point, that would be interesting!
