by Casey McQuiston I have read so many reviews and raves about Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, and I have to say, the hype is warranted. I really enjoyed this novel, so much so that it only took me a few days to finish it! I wanted to read it during the July Queer Bingo, but it had been on my TBR for a while.

I am interested to see how they do the movie that will be out later this year, because honestly this book was very spicy! The emotions I went through while reading were all over the place, I laughed a ton and there were also moments where I wanted to cry. I loved that she made Alex bisexual and Henry gay, it gave more representation. (Actually, Nora is also bisexual).
The bulk of the novel takes place between London and Washington DC. There was some history and things I learned that I didn't know about being royal or in the white house. The little history nuggets were fun. It was also fun to imagine the US with a female president, I hope we get to see that in person someday.
Ellen, the President was one of my fav characters, her witty comments to Alex and June were so funny at times, as a mom, I related to her so much, I can't wait to see her character come to life on the big screen! The novel's main characters are Alex and Henry, but everyone else is just as important to the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a LGBTQIA+ rom-com.
