By Colleen Hoover

Colleen Hoover is always one of my favorites, Reminders of him did not disappoint. I went into this book without knowing anything about it beforehand. It made me laugh and cry in one paragraph! When Kenna gets out of prison, she goes back to her boyfriend's hometown, where she is surprised by what she finds. Will she get to finally meet her daughter who has never seen her before?

Colleen Hoover is so good at writing the tear jerker, by the end of this book I was fighting back the tears. (happy tears don't worry!) Kenna's tragedy makes you stop and think that life is really short, and you never know what obstacles you're going to have to face. After a car accident that leaves her boyfriend Scotty dead, she goes to prison because she was behind the wheel. While in prison, Kenna has their baby Diem. (I love this name for a girl).

When Kenna goes back to Scotty's home town, she is scared but also hopeful that his parents will let her see Diem one day. Then she meets his best friend Ledger for the first time, and Kenna soon learns getting to meet her daughter will be the hardest thing she has to do. Scotty's parents have only one side of what happened that night to go on, and all they know is that Kenna is the reason they lost their child.

Ledger and Kenna's love story unfolding was a roller coaster but as usual had me rooting for them. Kenna eventually finds her way in town, getting a job, and creating a life for herself that Diem can appreciate eventually. CoHo really knows how to make you fall in love with the characters. They should start a show about all her books so Reminders of Him can be a season :-)
