By Colleen Hoover

Layla by CoHo was ... a rollercoaster. I was invested in the beginning, but then it took a turn I wasn't prepared for, and it took me a few chapters to get invested again. Once I figured out what was happening, I was thrilled with the premise and the creativity in Colleen Hoover's book.

I listened to Layla on audiobook, and I really enjoyed Brian Pallino's narrating voice really brings Leeds character to life, the narrator for an audiobook can really make or break a book for me. Layla and Leeds met at her sisters wedding, and knew they were meant to be from first site. After a whirlwind romance, tragedy strikes when they are involved in an incident that leaves both of them in the hospital.

When Layla was out of the hospital, she was never the same. Leeds thinks maybe he can get her back to normal by taking her back to the place they met, the BnB her sister was married at. Some other wold phenomenon brings Leeds in contact with a spirit named Willow, and what he learns haunts him and almost drives him and Layla away.

If you like a little mystery, you'll love this novel. This book was really easy to listen to, I love Colleen Hoover's books, I haven't read one I didn't like yet!
