I really enjoyed this book, so much so that I read the whole thing in less than 24 hours. Taylor Jenkins Reid's writing style is always great. I loved the way that she set this novel up as interviews, it kept the storyline interesting! I liked all of the characters, but some of them more than others.

I loved Daisy and Billy, and just really wanted them to have a happy ending. And Taylor gave that to us! I loved the way it ended, some people probably wanted them to end up together, but Camila is my favorite character and I was happy to see it end good for her, even though she deserves better than Billy :). Any novel about a 70's band will get my attention, can't wait for the series. My favorite movie growing up was Dazed and Confused and my second favorite movie of all time is Almost Famous. I see a little bit of Russell Hammond in Billy. Actually a lot of the characters are similar when I think about it.
I have read a few people compare this novel to Fleetwood Mac, and I could see how Daisy's style and free spirit embody that of Stevie Nicks. Her girl power attitude just makes this novel that much greater. My two favorite characters are Simone and Camila, powerful women who don't let the men push them around. I guess you could say I really liked the "girl power" in this novel, especially set in a time when women were supposed to stay home with the kids and they would never be in a rock band! (*eye roll*)
The ending broke my heart a little, but that last page leaves a good feeling in your soul! I did notice in the series they changed some of the things like their ages when they are getting interviewed, so I am wondering if the series ending will be as sad.. we will see March 24! I can't wait to read more from Taylor Jenkins Reid, I have Malibu Rising on the horizon, but I plan to get more of her novels soon, because I really do love her writing style and the way she tells stories.
