by Prince Harry

When deciding to read Spare by Prince Harry, I was torn between buying the physical copy and the audiobook. In the end I chose Audiobook and I am glad I did, because listening to Harry read his book is better than I could have read it in my head. I have never been a huge Royal family fan, BUT I have always been a Princess Diana and Harry fan. Reading his book just made my love for him even greater.

Whether you like the Royal family or not, you should still pick up this book by Prince Harry. He tells you how it is, from the beginning. From the first words when he dedicates the book and says "Mom" I lost it. His relationship with Diana, even in death, is something to live up to. He is so dedicated to his mother and I love how open and honest he is throughout the entire book. I knew that the press was bad, but I had no idea just HOW bad they were.

From the heart break of his mother's accident, while Harry was convinced most of his life that she was just in hiding and would come back for him (break my heart why don't you), to the trials he and Meg faced once they're relationship was out in the open. This raw story of how the press literally has ruined his life since he was in elementary school, I was in shock at some of the stories and how his family handled, or didn't handle, the press.

I have always been a fan of Prince Harry, but now I am even more. I like that he talks about his time in the military, being in the military and going to Afghanistan myself, I really connected with that entire section of his book. In fact, we might have even been in Kandahar at the same time in 2006 and I never knew it!
